Would you know if your partner was cheating on you? And do you know some of the common signs that someone is being unfaithful?
Julia Keys, who is the wife of sports presenter Richard Keys, recently appeared on This Morning, where she discussed the signs she picked up on of her husband’s infidelity.
The Express reported on the interview, in which she opened up about how she uncovered the affair between Richard and one of their daughter’s friends - Lucie Rose - who is half his age and now his girlfriend.
Julia, who is a psychotherapist and counsellor, explained that she was writing a book about cheating and started to notice her husband was showing some of the signs she mentioned in the book.
She said that he became “overprotective” of his mobile phone and would often get late-night messages. If she asked who from, he’d dismiss the question.
“There was something about the way he became a little more distant,” she noted. Richard initially denied the relationship before coming clean.
The newspaper highlighted some of the most common signs that a partner is being unfaithful, according to experts.
Relationship expert Tracy Cox said that one sign can be your partner always talking about a new colleague, while cheating website illicitencounters.com revealed that 85 per cent of men and 89 per cent of women who had affairs splashed out on lavish gifts for their partner because they felt guilty.
It can be difficult to know what to do for the best if you think your partner is cheating on you. You could hire a private investigator in Surrey to help you find proof - or clear your partner’s name.
Last month, researchers found that people’s voices change in tone and pitch if they are more likely to cheat on their partner.
